The whole experience from start to finish was so smooth and professional. The manager Phil and event staff Tilly and Clara were very professional, kind, transparent with costs and went the extra mile to accommodate all what we asked for. They are so well organised, the communication was excellent, they really cared a lot and strived to make sure everything ran smoothly during the prep and on the big day itself. The food was amazing I had so many great comments from guests about the tasty food. The Chef even prepared a very bespoke meal for a very picky eater guest and kids. The staff on the day, especially Victoria were so attentive and provided excellent service to our guests. Thank you all for making our wedding day so special, I highly recommend.

We had our wedding reception in the function room here and it was better than we could have ever asked for! The event staff were incredible in the months leading up to the event; they were clear and transparent with costs, their communication was brilliant, and they were so invested in making the day run smoothly for us, even preparing a run sheet for themselves so the event was planned to the minute... We can’t thank the event team enough for making us feel so special. They went above and beyond to make our event run smoothly, from allowing us to set the room up the day before, to storing and presenting our wedding cake, and everything in between including setting up our own music to their sound system, as well as a TV screen to show personal videos for those that couldn’t be there. To name a few of the amazing team, thanks to Tilly, Alex and Mikey for planning our day to T, and to Evan and Nick as the most pleasant bar staff, not to mention the kitchen staff and anyone else who worked in the background that evening. Definitely recommend this pub as a venue for any event. Thank you !

Staggeringly fantastic service for our Wedding Party. The staff who looked after us were outstanding. Thank you for helping to make my Son and Daughter-In-Law’s reception a truly incredible event. The room, with its private bar and facilities was simply perfect; beautiful, clean and so welcoming. You went above and beyond for their happiness. Absolutely fantastic. You are awesome!!!! That stone baked fish dish (my choice) was out of this world, and to deliver all our piping hot plates all together was a feat of genius. All the food was enjoyed completely, no exceptions. No, here at The County Arms we operate on minimum spends. This is a figure based on booking size and day of the week, that we ask your party as a whole to reach. This includes anything pre-ordered, and any orders on the day by yourselves or your guests.

You’ll meet our Events Managers, Tilly and Clara. They’ll help you with all things weddings. Our General Manager Phil and our Deputy Managers Rebecca & Bradley, who will be your point of contact on the day.

Yes, we can arrange a time at your convenience to pop in, meet the team and taste test which dishes you’d love to share with your guests. During this meeting, you are also welcome to try our wines.

You can connect your device via Bluetooth to our sound system, or you are very welcome to bring a musician to our venue if you’ve booked the Belvedere Room. Please note our premises is licensed for live entertainment until 11pm, and any extensions will need to be discussed with management.

Yes, we close our bars at 11pm Monday to Sunday although we are licensed to serve alcohol until midnight should there be an individual need. Any extension will need to be discussed with management.

Yes, you are very welcome to make the space your own! It’s your day after all. We do ask that nothing is attached to our wallpaper, and ask for no confetti.

This depends on our other bookings. If we have a booking the evening before in the applicable room, unfortunately we won’t be able to facilitate an early set up. This will be discussed with you no later than 2 weeks in advance of your booking date, and we will always do our best to accommodate any request.

We ask all pre-orders to be sent and finalised 3 weeks before the date of your booking. This will be your final pre-order, and after this we won’t be able to accept any amendments or additional orders. We will then send over a payment link, we ask for your pre-orders to be paid for 2 weeks in advance. We only process pre-orders and payments through DesignMyNight via a secure link.

We will always try to accommodate requests due to emergency circumstances, although we request to be notified in writing a minimum of 10 days in advance of your booking date. You will be charged for any amendments within 10 days of your booking date.

All guests are very welcome to use our decking area for welcome drinks with no additional minimum spend. There is an option to include parts of the garden exclusively as part of your booking, which comes with an additional minimum spend.

If you cancel 1 month in advance of your wedding, we can send you back your deposit. If you are cancelling with less than one month to go, we’ll happily re-book you’re wedding for another date. If it’s not possible to re-book then we will claim your deposit.

We’re afraid not, anything pre-ordered will need to be enjoyed by your party or taken home with you.

We don’t have our own car park. There is a pay and display car park by the side of the pub, but please do ask about restrictions.
